Location of Newgrange. South of the river Boyne on the L21, 2km west of Donore. Sign-posted from Drogheda (off N1), and from Slane (off N2).
Directions from Newgrange Visitor center to Drogheda.
Exit the center and turn left. Head towards DONORE
Follow signpost to DROGHEDA where you will eventually cross the new M1 motorway and go straight through the roundabouts towards DROGHEDA town.
You will come to a set of traffic lights with McDonalds in front to your left. At these traffic lights you will turn right and follow directions for JULIANSTOWN and DUBLIN. You will be travelling on the old Drogheda to Dublin (R132) see Start.
After you pass Julianstown you will pass by an ESSO garage on your left. After the ESSO garage you will get into the leftmost lane and follow directions for BALBRIGGAN and SKERRIES. Also mentioned is ARDGILLAN CASTLE. Continue towards Balbriggan.
In Balbriggan you will pass a TEXACO garage on your right. You will go through the next set of traffic lights and continue through the town past the BRACKEN COURT hotel on your right. You continue through the town for 300 meters or 150YDS. You will take the next turn to the left. (Balbriggan Credit Union is at this turn) When you turn left continue until you come to a T Junction. Turn right and continue the coast road towards SKERRIES.
When you enter SKERRIES you wil come to traffic lights on a T junction. Turn right and continue until you come to a roundabout. Turn right and go through the tunnel towards DUBLIN. After 1km you will come to a crossroads. Take the left turn here. (there is a signpost for Lolaido house to the left and the Daffodil Art Gallery to the right). Go up the hill and you will see Lolaido House. (4th on the right).
